Fun Yoga Poses for Kids

  • Tree Pose (Vrksasana): Stand tall and balance on one leg while placing the sole of the other foot on the inner thigh or calf. Stretch your arms above your head like branches.
  • Cat-Cow Pose (Marjaryasana-Bitilasana): On your hands and knees, alternate between arching your back like a cat and dropping your belly like a cow. This helps stretch and strengthen the spine.
  • Butterfly Pose (Baddha Konasana): Sit on the floor with the soles of your feet touching. Flap your legs like butterfly wings to stretch your hips and thighs.
  • Downward-Facing Dog (Adho Mukha Svanasana): From your hands and knees, lift your hips up and back, forming an upside-down “V” shape. This pose stretches the entire body.
  • Cobra Pose (Bhujangasana): Lie on your belly and press your hands into the floor, lifting your chest up like a cobra. This strengthens the back and opens the chest.
